The issue involved in the present case is as to whether the services rendered by the petitioners as SPOs before being absorbed as Constables in Punjab Police is to be reckoned as qualifying service or not. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the said issue has been set at rest in a judgment rendered by a Coordinate Bench of this Court in CWP9936-2017 titled Sukhjeet Singh and others Versus State of Punjab and others, decided on 15.2.2018.

At this Stage, Mr. Inderpreet Singh Kang, AAG, Punjab, upon whom an advance copy of petition had already been served, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State.

Learned State counsel submits that the State shall consider the claim of the petitioners and shall decide the legal notice dated 8.2.2023 (Annexure P-10) PANKAJ KAKKAR 2023.07.21 15:16 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
