(ORAL) By way of present petition, prayer has been made for issuance of directions to respondent No.2 to appoint a police official not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police who belongs to other District so as to investigate the allegations regarding murder of Rakesh alias Raka who happened to be son of the petitioner. Learned State counsel on instructions informs that the investigation already stands transferred to SIT constituted vide order dated 08.07.2023 and the same is headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police, State Crime Branch, Haryana and the FSL report is awaited.

In view of the aforesaid stand taken by learned State counsel, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents-State to conclude the investigation being carried out through the aforementioned SIT, within a period of 3 months from today and file a final report before the Illaqa Magistrate. In case, the aforesaid investigation is not concluded within a period of three months, the TEJWINDER SINGH 2024.04.
