(ORAL) The petitioner was selected and appointed as a Constable vide appointment order dated 30.4.2015 (Annexure P2), under the 2% quota reserved for the Wards of "deserving" police personnel in pursuance of advertisement dated 11.9.2010. Since initially the claim of the petitioner was not being considered leading to litigation before this Court and in compliance of the directions passed by this Court, the petitioner and similarly situated persons were appointed in June-July 2015. The prayer in the instant writ petition is for grant of RAJ KUMAR ARORA 2018.11.01 17:15 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Upon notice, reply by way of affidavit of Major Singh, PPS, Superintendent of Police (HQ), Mansa Disrict Mansa, on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3, has been filed today in the Court, wherein it is stated that the claim of the petitioner has been accepted and he shall be entitled to seniority and notional consequential benefits from 19.10.2011 excepting the salary and arrears of allowances for that period. In view of aforesaid stand, it is conceded that nothing more survives for adjudication in the instant writ petition. The writ petition is dismissed as having rendered infructuous.
