(Oral) The present petition has been filed for release of retiral benefits of the petitioner and for a direction to decide the legal notice dated 21.09.2015 (Annexure P-1) sent to respondents no. 3 and 4. The case of the petitioner is that he has retired as a JBT Teacher/Head Teacher from Government Elementary School, Sambalkhi, Tehsil and District Mohali on 22.05.2015 after putting in 35 years of service. His retiral benefits are still pending in spite of the legal notice dated 21.09.2015 having been served.
Notice of motion.
Mr. R.S. Sidhu, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. Copy of writ petition has been supplied to him in Court. Keeping in view the limited relief sought and without commenting on the merits of the case, this Court does not feel it necessary to ask the respondents to file reply.

CWP No. 24763 of 2015 to respondent no. 3 to take into consideration the legal notice dated 21.09.2015 (Annexure P-1) and decide the issue of release of retiral benefits and the legal notice within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order.
In case the dues are found to be payable and there is no legal hitch, payment be released within one month thereafter. In case there is some departmental inquiry etc. or some other statutory hitch, on account of which, the payment cannot be released, speaking order be passed and conveyed to the petitioner.
