**** Rajan Gupta, J. (Oral) Petitioner has sought a direction for release of Rs.1 lac under the Rajiv Gandhi Pariwar Bima Yojna, which is sponsored by the Central Government.
Stand of learned State counsel for Haryana is that petitioner is a resident of District Mohali and is, thus, not eligible under the Scheme. Learned State counsel for Punjab had also filed a reply by way of affidavit of Daljeet Singh Mangat, Deputy Commissioner, SAS Nagar. According to the same, petitioner is already being granted certain benefits under the Pension Scheme by the State. Paragraph 04 of the affidavit reads as under:- "That the petitioner was eligible for Financial Assistance to Widow and Destitute (FAWD) Pension Scheme which is Rs.500/- per month and petitioner is already getting this benefit Sukhpreet Kaur 2017.11.04 12:53 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

under PLA No.KR/FAWD/162 and the two minor Children of the petitioner are eligible for Financial Assistance to Dependent Children (FADC) Pension Scheme which is Rs.500/- per Child and both the children of petitioner are getting the benefit of this scheme under PLA No.KR/FADC/66. " This court finds substance in the plea of State of Haryana that the petitioner being resident of Mohali is not entitled to the benefit under the Scheme. Besides, she is already being granted certain benefits by the Punjab State Government as stated above.
In view of the aforesaid, no ground to interfere in the writ jurisdiction is made out.
Dismissed.
