Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of directions to the official respondents to protect the petitioner's life and liberty which according to the petitioner is threatened at the hands of respondent No.4. In the alternative prayer is made for issuance of directions to respondent No.2 to take action on the representation dated 07.09.2020 (Annexure P-4) made by the petitioner to such respondent.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that at this stage, she would be satisfied if the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to take a decision on the representation dated 07.09.2020 (Annexure P-4) submitted by the petitioner.

I find the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner to be reasonable.

-2CRWP-9370 of 2020 Accordingly, at this stage, without commending on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar (respondent No.2) to examine the representation dated 07.09.2020 (Annexure P-4), submitted by the petitioner and take action thereupon as is deemed fit thereafter in accordance with law. Such action be taken expeditiously but not later than one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
