ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) The petitioner has approached this Court under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the official respondents to protect his life and liberty as he apprehends threat at the hands of respondent No.4.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the instant petition is disposed of with an expectation from the official respondents that the petitioner, being the complainant and material witness qua FIR No.08 dated 06.05.2020, his threat perception shall be looked into and verified. In case the same is found genuine, appropriate steps shall be taken as may be warranted.
