Through instant petition, preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release the amount of pension, gratuity, leave encashment to the petitioner after the death of her husband, who was working as Junior Engineer, along with interest @ 18% per annum. 2.

At the very outset of the arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though petitioner moved various representations including representation dated 09.05.2018 (P-7) to respondent No.3 but till date no conscious decision has been taken. He further submits that petitioner feels satisfied in case direction is issued to respondent(s) to decide latest representation (P-7), within a stipulated period. Instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd., Patiala or any other officer subordinate to him, who is competent to deal with representation, and to take a conscious decision, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 4.

However, if the petitioner still feels aggrieved against any of the order(s) passed by the concerned authority, she shall be at liberty to have recourse to the remedies available under law as well as to approach this Court.
