Present petition has been filed by the petitioner, seeking grant of anticipatory bail, in case, FIR No.110, dated 27.04.2026, under Section 21-C of NDPS Act and sections 25, 26, 29 of BVV, 2024, registered at Police Station Khalra, District Tarn Taran. 2.

Brief facts of the present case are that on 27.04.2026, SI Sahib Singh along with other police officials was on patrolling duty in connection with the search of anti-social elements. While the police party was passing through the streets of Village Basarke, a person of Sikh appearance was noticed standing near a house, holding a polythene packet. On seeing the police party, he threw a black polythene packet containing a suspected substance and managed to flee from the spot. One of the members of the police party, who knew him previously, identified him as Pargat Singh son of Kashmir Singh (petitioner herein). All the requisite formalities were completed at the spot. CRM-M-30664-2026 -2On checking the said polythene packet, 1 kg 185 grams of heroin was recovered. The recovered substance was sealed in a plastic box and converted into a parcel, which was sealed by the Investigating Officer with seal "SS", and a sample seal was also prepared separately. Other necessary procedural formalities were duly completed, and on the basis thereof, present FIR was registered.

Since name of the petitioner finds mention in the FIR, and there is a substantial recovery of about 1 kg 185 grams of heroin, and further considering that petitioner is involved in four other NDPS cases, no ground for grant of anticipatory bail is made out. Accordingly, present petition is dismissed.
