(ORAL) The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner as Nambardar of Village Munda Pind, Tehsil Khadoor Sahib, District Tarn Taran.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner restricts his claim only as regards issuance of directions to the learned Collector, Tarn Taran to decide the remand case without being influenced by anything observed by learned Financial Commissioner (Appeals), Punjab in order dated 13.02.2025 (Annexure P-3) and to decide the matter purely on the merits of the case.
