(Oral) CRM-W-1075-2023 The present application has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for placing on record the Marriage Photographs and registration certificate, as Annexures P-5 and P-6 respectively. Application is allowed as prayed for. Annexures P-5 & P-6 are taken on record, subject to all just exceptions. CRWP-7099-2023 1.

The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent Nos. 2 & 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondent Nos.4 to 6. 2.

On asking of the Court, Mr. I.P.S. Sabharwal, DAG, Punjab, who is present in the Court, accepts notice on behalf of State/respondents No.1 to 3.

Considering the nature of the order being passed, there is no necessity to serve the private respondents or to seek a reply from any one of the respondents.

In light of the above, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, District Hoshiarpur, to take into consideration the request of the petitioners made vide representation dated 17.07.2023 (Annexure P-4) and take necessary action, in accordance with law.

It is, however, made clear that this order shall not be construed as any stamp on the alleged marriage of the parties or any confirmation to their acts and deeds. This order shall not operate as any alibi or defence to any proceedings which might be pending or may arise against the petitioners. Although, the State is duty bound to protect its citizens and only with the said motive, the present order/directions have been passed.
