The petitioners have filed the present petition claiming that in view of the provisions of Section 24(2) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, the acquisition has lapsed, as the petitioners have neither been paid compensation for the acquired land nor possession of the land has been taken from them. Notifications under Sections 4 and 6 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 were issued on 20.4.1990 and 18.4.1991, respectively. Even the representation made by the petitioners for release of the land has not been decided.
Learned counsel for the State submitted that the representation filed by the petitioners has been decided by the competent authority vide order dated 9.5.2017. Copy thereof was sent to the petitioners, however, another copy thereof has been supplied to counsel for the petitioners in Sharmila Devi 2017.10.03 10:22 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

In view of the aforesaid development, learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition with liberty to impugn the order dated 9.5.2017 passed by the authorities rejecting their representation.
