This common order shall dispose of *5 writ petitions, as detailed in the foot note of this order, involving identical issue. All these writ petitions have been filed by petitioners who were initially either selected as Lecturers in different streams or Masters/Mistresses for appointment in the Education Department, (Secondary Education)Punjab beyond the number of advertised posts and therefore treated on adhoc basis for the said period before regularisation of their services on the respective posts. The claim, therefore, in the aforesaid petitions is for counting of their previous adhoc service towards benefits including seniority etc. The aforesaid writ petitions were adjourned sine die vide
order dated 14.9.2016 to await decision of LPA No.589/2015 involving identical issue.
Now CM 2595/2017 has been filed for fixing the aforesaid writ petitions for hearing as LPA 589/2015 stands disposed of by a Division Bench of this Court vide order dated 27.10.2016. A copy of the order dated 27.10.2016 passed in LPA 589/2015 has been annexed with the application.

Mz.Sudeepti Sharma,DAG Punjab accepts notice and states that she has no objection in case the aforesaid writ petitions are ordered to be listed for hearing and disposed of in terms of order passed in LPA 589/2015.
In view of the above, CM 2595/2017 is allowed, order dated 27.10.2016 passed in LPA 589/2015 is taken on record as Annexure A-3 and the aforesaid writ petitions are listed for hearing today itself.
At the time of hearing, it is a conceded case of the parties that the issue regarding admissibility of benefit of said adhoc service has been finally settled by the LPA Bench of this Court vide order dated 27.10.2016 taken on record as A-3 whereby the benefit of counting of said adhoc service has been restricted towards qualifying service for grant of pensionary benefits only. Therefore, the present petitions are also disposed of in the same terms as LPA 589/2015
decided on 27.10.2016(A-3) alongwith 4 other LPAs and two writ petitions.
A copy of this order be placed on the files of connected writ petitions.
