(Oral) By virtue of instant petition preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has sought issuance of writ in the nature of certiorari/mandamus directing the respondents to release gratuity, leave encashment and regular pension and commutation of pension or in the alternative quash the charge sheet.

At the very outset of the arguments, it has emerged that benefit accrued to the petitioner on account of his retirement has since been released and now, the dispute pertains only to the grant of interest on the alleged delayed payments.
