(Oral) The petitioners seek a direction for taking action against the Sarpanch of their Gram Panchayat who is alleged to have allotted 100 square yard plots to ineligible persons. Some of the allotments are said to have been made in favour of dead persons. It is claimed that out of 76 persons who were chosen for allotment of plots vide resolution dated 15.01.2009, some are dead and many in unauthorized possession of the Gram Panchayat land which is a disqualification for such allotment. The official respondents have filed their written statement and it appears that under the directions of this Court a fact-finding enquiry has also been conducted. CWP No.2581 of 2014 [2] report, some of the allottees are in unauthorized possession of the Gram Panchayat land and those were ineligible for allotment of the plots.
In view of the fact that the district administration has gone into the allegations levelled by the petitioners and they have found substance, may be partly, we dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the Deputy Commissioner, Sirsa, to constitute a Committee of officials of the Rural Development and Panchayat Department, who shall take further remedial action after giving show-cause notice to the affected persons and in accordance with the principles of natural justice. The needful shall be done within a period of four months from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order.
