Due to COVID-19 situation, the Court is convened through video conference.

This petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed seeking quashing of the Criminal Complaint (CIS No. COMI/8/2018) registered under Sections 326, 323, 379-B, 382, 292, 506, 511, 148 and 149 IPC. From the pleadings, it is forthcoming that relatives are having tussle among themselves resulting to various complaints and litigations. The matter was compromised in earlier FIR No. 70, dated 22nd June, 2016. The present complaint was filed after settlement of dispute in the FIR. The Court concerned after considering the parameters under Section 156 Cr.P.C. has issued the summoning PANKAJ BAWEJA 2021.09.30 14:55 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court, Chandigarh

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that there is a fair chance of matter being settled, if parties are made to sit together. He restricts his prayer at this stage that matter be referred to the Mediation & Conciliation Centre.

Insead of making parties to travel all the way to this Court, it would be appropriate that such a request be made before the Court concerned. There is no doubt that request, if made, would be considered in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible. The petition is disposed of.
