The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to release terminal/retiral dues of Pawan Kumar.

Pawan Kumar son of Sh. Ved Parkash was serving as Havaldar with Punjab Police who passed away on 28.03.2014. The petitioner is claiming that she is legally wedded wife of deceased Pawan Kumar, thus, she is entitled to terminal benefits of deceased Pawan Kumar. The respondent No.4 is claiming that he is adopted son of deceased Pawan Kumar, thus, he is entitled to all the terminal benefits. 3.

CWP-1891-2018 filed a succession case No.2 dated 02.07.2014 before Civil Court at Sangrur. The said case has been decided vide judgment dated 15.03.2021. The claim of respondent No.4-Dilpreet Sharma has been declined, thus, the petitioner is entitled to all the terminal benefits of deceased Pawan Kumar.

There is no representation of respondent No.4, however, in view of statement of other stakeholders, matter needs not to be kept in abeyance.

Mr. Aman Dhir, State counsel submits that the competent authority would consider claim of the petitioner keeping in mind judgment dated 15.03.2021 passed by Civil Court, Sangrur. 6.
In the wake of statement of Mr. Dhir, the present petition stands disposed of. Let the needful be done within three months from today.
