The petitioners seek issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus so as to direct the respondents to step up the pay of the petitioners at par with respondents No.7 to 10, who are junior to them in their own cadres. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the case of the petitioners has been covered by a judgment rendered by a Coordinate Bench of this Court in CWP-8290-2020 titled Sukhwinder Singh and others Versus State of Punjab and others, decided on 19.6.2020.

At this Stage, Mr. Inderpreet Singh Kang, AAG, Punjab, upon whom an advance copy of petition had already been served, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State.

Learned State counsel submits that the State shall consider the claim of the petitioners and shall decide the legal notice dated 17.1.2023 (Annexure P-8) PANKAJ KAKKAR 2023.07.21 15:16 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

In view of the aforesaid submission, the instant petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.3 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga to consider and dispose of the legal notice dated 17.1.2023 (Annexure P-8) in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of 4 months from today.
