**** AJAY KUMAR MITTAL, J. (Oral) The prayer in this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for quashing the proceedings dated 11.11.2014 (Annexure P-11), whereby, the objections of the petitioner have been rejected and also for issuance a writ in the nature of Mandamus, directing the respondents to include the names of voters/residents of Baba Deep Singh Nagar in the voter list of Municipal Council for the election, which are scheduled for 25th February, 2015.

It was not disputed by the learned counsel for the petitioner that COCP No. 76 of 2015, has been preferred by the petitioner, wherein, this Court after taking cognizance has directed the respondent No.2 to pass an appropriate order on the objections filed by the petitioner on or before the date fixed therein i.e. 19th February, 2015, failing which, respondent No.2, has to appear in person, in Court on the adjourned date. 3.

CWP No. 2524 of 2015 [ 2 ] states that he may be allowed to withdraw the present writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to take recourse to the remedies available to him, in case the objections filed by the petitioner are not accepted by the respondents.

In view of the above, the present writ petition stands dismissed as withdrawn. It shall, however, be open to the petitioner to take recourse to the remedies available to him in accordance with law, in case, the objections filed by him are not decided in his favour.
