The substantive prayer made in the petition reads thus: 'It is therefore, respectfully prayed that present petition may kindly be allowed and Impugned Order dated 06.08.2024 (Annexure P-1) passed by respondent no. 1, vide which claim of petitioner for premature release has been rejected by violating the judgments passed by Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in "State of Haryana vs Jagdish" AIR 2010 SC 1690 and "Raj Kumar vs State of Uttar Pradesh" Writ Petition (Criminal) No. 36 of 2022 decided on 06.02.2023 and claim of the petitioner for premature release has been wrongly rejected by deferring the case for one year may kindly be set aside. As per Clause (a) of Premature Release Policy dated 12.04.2002, the petitioner was required to undergo total 20 years total sentence with remissions. The petitioner fulfills the condition of premature release policy and has completed more than 20 years with remissions as on 30.06.2024. Thus, the further incarceration of the petitioner is illegal, arbitrary and against the principles of natural justice.' 2.

CRWP No.5833 of 2025 (O & M) -2Haryana (Jails Department). Same be kept on record as Mark 'X'. Learned State counsel has submitted that in view of this order, the present petition has been rendered infructuous.
