SURYA KANT, J.(ORAL) The claim raised in the instant writ petition is too old and stale. The petitioner had applied for allotment of a plot in the category of 'Old Licencees' in the New Grain Market at Karnal. Draw of lots was held on 26.02.2004 in which the petitioner was stated to be successful and Plot No.452 was allotted to him.

[2] The petitioner alleges that the official respondents told him that the above-stated plot had been already allotted to some one else. He therefore did not deposit the earnest money. The petitioner sought information under the RTI and served the authorities with a Legal Notice dated 22.12.2017, followed by the instant writ petition claiming that an alternative plot be allotted to him as several plots are lying unallotted in the New Grain Market at Karnal.

Be that as it may, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to decide the claim of the petitioner, as contained in the Legal Notice, dated 22.12.2017 (Annexure P-9) within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
