RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J. (ORAL) Matter has been taken up through video conferencing via Webex facility in the light of the Pandemic Covid-19 situation and as per instructions.

The prayer in the present petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for issuance of direction to the official respondent No.2 for taking legal action against the private respondent for committing rape on the pretext of marriage, defaming by uploading the obscene posts on social media. Issue notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Ms.Rashmi Attri, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner would be satisfied if her representation, dated 24.12.2020, Annexure P-1, is decided expeditiously.
