The present Civil Writ Petition has been filed under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of directions to the respondents to pay the arrears of Higher Pay Scale to the petitioners w.e.f. 01.01.2010 and 01.05.2010 on which day Higher Pay Scale was granted to the juniors of the petitioners i.e. respondent Nos.5 and 6. Learned counsel for the petitioners would contend that in this regard a representation dated 19.01.2021 (Annexure P-1) has been sent to respondent No.4. However, neither any response has been received nor any decision has been taken qua the same. Learned counsel for the petitioners would further contend that at this stage he limits his prayer and would be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent No.4 to take a decision on the representation dated 19.01.2021 (Annexure P-1) in a time-bound manner. In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.4 to take a decision on the representation dated 19.01.2021 (Annexure P-1), in accordance with law, expeditiously and in any case within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
