The petitioner prays for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari to quash the charge sheet issued on 20.06.2022 and the order dated 28.07.2022.

On 07.09.2022, the following order was passed:- "Learned counsel submits that the petitioner retired after attaining the age of superannuation on 30.09.2012 and thereafter, the charge sheet dated 20.06.2022 (Annexure P-6) has been issued, which allegations relate to the period of 2012. It is contended that in view of the well settled principle of law, the impugned action is not sustainable and the same be quashed.

The learned State counsel, on instructions from Mr.Tarandeep Singh, Law Officer, Department of Irrigation, Punjab, submits that the aforesaid charge sheet and the consequential order have already been cancelled.
