(ORAL) The petitioner has filed the present petition for seeking a direction to the respondents to conduct the election of the Garhi Birbal Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society Limited, Garhi Birbal, District Karnal, so that the Society can elect its representative to take part in the elections of the Managing Committee of the Central Cooperative Bank Ltd. Karnal.

As per the provisions of the Haryana Cooperative Societies Act, the Registrar appointed under Section 3 of the Haryana Cooperative Societies Act, exercising the powers of superintendence and control for carrying out the purposes of the Act, can issue directions to the Raj Kumar Arora 2017.02.08 14:47 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

The petitioner seems to have not filed any representation to the Registrar Cooperative Societies, who has got supervisory authority to control the functioning of the Society. This petition is disposed of as pre-mature, at this stage, relegating the petitioner to the alternative remedy of approaching the competent authority under the Haryana Cooperative Societies Act, in accordance with law.
