This petition has been filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023, seeking anticipatory bail in case FIR No.83 dated 14.10.2023 registered under Sections 406, 420, 120-B IPC at Police Station North, U.T. Chandigarh.

On 03.06.2025, the following order was passed:- "XX XX XX XX Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present FIR. As per the contents of the FIR, the main allegations are only against the main accused, namely, Vandita Sarkar and Amandeep Singh and not against the petitioner. He further contends that the petitioner is not the beneficiary as he had not received any amount except Rs.15,000/- in his account. He further contends that he is also involved in two other FIRs. Out of which, in one FIR, he has been granted the benefit of anticipatory bail and in another he has been granted the benefit of regular bail by the concerned trial Court. Alankrit Bhardwaj, Addl. P.P. UT Chandigarh, accept notice on behalf of respondent-State and filed status report by way of an affidavit of SDPO, Central Udaypal, which is taken on record.

Meanwhile, in the event of arrest, the petitioner is ordered to be released on interim bail on his furnishing personal bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of Arresting/Investigating Officer. However, the petitioner shall join the investigation as and when called upon to do so and shall abide by the conditions as provided under Section 482(2) BNSS."

Learned State counsel, on instructions from the investigating officer, at the very outset, informs the Court that the petitioner has joined the investigation and his custodial interrogation is not required.

In view of the statement of learned State counsel, order dated 03.06.2025 is hereby made absolute. The petitioner shall abide by the terms and conditions envisaged under Section 482(2) of BNSS (erstwhile Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973). 5.
The petition stands disposed of.
