SURYA KANT, J.(ORAL) The petitioner seeks a direction for allotment of a plot which is adjoining to the industrial unit set up by it in the Industrial Estate at Barwala. It appears that at one point of time the authorities agreed to allot the adjoining plot but vide the impugned communication, the amount deposited by the petitioner has been returned. [2] We have heard learned counsel for the petitioner. We do not find any illegality in the impugned order as no public property can be allotted on mere asking. There has to be a transparent mode of allotment, may be through public auction or draw of lots etc. In this view of the matter, though we declined to entertain the writ petition against the impugned order but grant liberty to the petitioner to approach the respondent-authorities to evolve a transparent mechanism for allotment of the subject plot so that all interested persons including the petitioner may try their luck.
