Through instant petition, preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant promotional increment of the post of SMO from order dated 13.11.2013 (P-1) in view of office order dated 29.11.2013 (P-2), along with all consequential benefits as well as interest @ 18%.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though petitioner moved representation dated 29.11.2017 (P-7) followed by reminders dated 23.01.2018 (P-8) and 05.03.2018 (P-9) but till date no final decision has been taken. He further submits that petitioner feels satisfied in case direction is issued to respondent No.2 to decide aforesaid representation, within a stipulated period.

Instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2Director Health Service, Punjab, Chandigarh to look into the grievances unfolded by the petitioner in representation (P-7) as well as reminders (P-8 and P-9) and to take a conscious decision in accordance with law, rules and instructions, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

However, if the petitioner still feel aggrieved against any of the order(s) passed by the concerned authority, she shall be at liberty to have recourse to the remedies available under law as well as to approach this Court.
