In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the wards of the persons, who were lower in seniority, have been offered compassionate appointment but the case of the petitioner was not considered. Learned counsel, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that at this stage, he will be satisfied if a direction is given to respondent No.2 to decide the legal notice dated 19.11.2025 (Annexure P-9) served by the petitioner, in a time bound manner.
