On 25.07.2023, following order was passed by this Court:- "The petitioner through the instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to issue fresh passport with correct name and date of birth.
Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that petitioner was issued passport on 30.06.2011 wherein there is typographical mistake in the name of the petitioner as well date of birth. The actual date of birth of petitioner is 31.12.1961 whereas in the passport it is mentioned as 03.12.1961. Similarly, alphabet 'e' has wrongly been added in the name of the petitioner (Bhanote instead of Bhanot").
Mr. Indresh Goel, Senior Panel Counsel for Union of India, who on advance notice is present in Court, seeks time to get instructions.

Mr. Indresh Goel, counsel for Union of India, at the outset, states that petitioner may be directed to file a fresh application with correct particulars and passport authority would look into grievance of the petitioner and do the needful within four weeks.

In the wake of statement of learned counsel for Union of India, the petition stands disposed of with liberty to petitioner to file fresh application.
