The present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents, particularly respondent No.2, to consider representation dated 06.03.2026 (Annexure P-6) for release of the entire death-cum-retiral benefits of late Smt. Charanjit Kaur, wife of the petitioner, along with interest.

Learned counsel for respondent No.2, i.e. Punjab State Power Corporation Limited, on instructions, submits that the petitioner has wrongly impleaded them as a party, whereas his claim lies against Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as "PSTCL"), as the wife of the petitioner was serving under PSTCL. 4.
Learned proxy counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner pleads no instructions in the matter. Accordingly, the present writ petition is dismissed for want of prosecution, along with the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
