In this writ petition filed under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has prayed for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus for directing the respondents to protect his life and liberty, inhabitants of the vicinity as the life of the inhabitants have became hell due to very foul smell from Mushroom Industry set up in the centre of both the villages and the direction be issued to the official respondents to shift the Mushroom Industry from the residential area or to take any appropriate steps to resolve the problem of foul smell. 2.

After arguing for sometime, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he may be permitted to withdraw the present writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to approach the Punjab Pollution Control Board at the first instance for the relief claimed in the present writ petition. 3.

Dismissed as withdrawn.
