(Oral) (1) The petitioner has laid challenge to the order dated 19.01.2015 (P5) passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal, Chandigarh Bench (in short, 'the Tribunal') vide which his Original Application seeking a direction to consider his claim for appointment as Assistant Sub Inspector in the Chandigarh Police, was dismissed. (2) Pursuant to the ad-interim directions issued by this Court for re-consideration of petitioner's claim after recalculating the validity period of six months of waiting list, the respondent-authorities have appointed the petitioner as ASI in Chandigarh Police. The principal issue raised in these proceedings thus has been rendered infructuous.
As regards petitioner's claim for notional appointment from the date he became entitled to, liberty is granted to him to approach the competent authority who shall consider the same sympathetically. However, in case the authorities accept such claim, V.VISHAL 2016.05.
the benefit shall be granted notionally only without extending any monetary benefit.
