Prayer in the present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus, directing respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and personal liberty of the petitioners. Further prayer has been made for directing respondent No.2 to consider and decide the representations submitted by the petitioners in a time bound manner and to take legal and appropriate action strictly in accordance with law.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that for the redressal of their grievance, petitioners have filed representation dated 15.05.2026 (Annexure P-2) before respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur but the same has not been taken into consideration by the said respondent till date. 3.

After hearing counsel for the parties and perusing the record, respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur is directed to decide the representation dated 15.05.2026 (Annexure P-2) filed by the petitioner expeditiously preferably within two weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order in accordance with law. 6.
