**** G.S.Sandhawalia, J.(Oral) The petitioner seeks the relief of release of arrears of pay which is re-fixed for the period 01.01.2006 to 31.07.2012 along with interest of 18%. It is the pleaded case of the petitioner that he retired from the Office of the respondent No.1 on 31.07.2012 as Pump Operator. The petitioner's pay was revised by letter dated 19.08.2009 and refixed in the pay scale of Rs.4400-7000/-. The arrears for the period mentioned above, however, is not paid to him even after his retirement even though he approached the respondent time and again . On 29.10.2014, respondent No.3 prepared the bill of Rs.1,41,379/-, which was not sent to the Treasury Office Rajpura. Thereafter, on 28.04.2015 (Annexure P-6) another order was passed by the said respondent revising his pay but the arrears have still not been paid though quantified as noticed above. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that representation dated 02.07.2015(Annexure P-7) has been served upon the respondent No.2 but no action has been taken. Notice of motion.

Accordingly, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to take a decision on the representation dated 02.07.2015 (Annexure P-7) within a period of 2 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order. In case the amount is payable to the petitioner, the same be paid within a period of one month thereafter. Needless to say that in case the relief is to be declined, a speaking order be passed and conveyed to the petitioner. (G.S.
