Father of the petitioner working as ASI in Punjab Police died in harness on 5.5.2015. Petitioner, being dependent family member applied for compassionate appointment. His request was rejected in view of impermissible age relaxation required to give compassionate appointment to the petitioner as his date of birth is 3.4.1984. Alleging arbitrariness and discrimination while rejecting his request instant writ petition has been filed. After arguing for sometime and having failed to convince the Court,learned counsel seeks permission to withdraw the writ petition.

Dismissed as withdrawn.
