(Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking quashing of environmental clearances dated 31.01.2005 and 07.12.2012 (appended as Anexures P-8 and P-26, respectively), issued by the Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of India, to respondent No.9 for running Distillery Unit on the plots No. A-3 & A-4, Industrial Growth Centre Ranipur Pathankot. A prayer for direction to the respondents has also been made to take immediate action for removing the distillery unit from the site and use the sites only for the purpose for which the land has been allotted on lease by the Punjab Small Industry and Export Corporation Limited on the recommendation of Empowerment Committee constituted as per the Land Allotment Policy, issued by the Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Punjab.
