IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT

CHANDIGARH CWP No. 25515 of 2015 Date of decision: 18.02.2016 Monu Sharma ....Petitioner(s)

Versus

State of Punjab and others

...Respondent(s)

CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE G.S.SANDHAWALIA

Present:

Mr. Mandeep K. Sajjan, Advocate, for the petitioner.

G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) The petitioner seeks the consideration for regularization of his services on the post of Accountant Clerk-cum-Typist. It is the pleaded case of the petitioner that the petitioner was selected after following due process and the appointment letter was issued on 24.08.2009 (Annexure P-3) wherein, he was given the appointment by respondent no. 4 on contractual basis at a consolidated salary of `5,500/-. It is the case of the petitioner that he is continuing in service and is entitled for regularization on account of the policy dated 18.03.2011 (Annexure P-5) Counsel submits that representation dated 30.07.2015 (Annexure P-6) has already been served upon respondent no. 4 and he would be satisfied if the same is decided within a time bound frame.

Keeping in view the limited relief sought, this Court is of the opinion that there is no need to call for the respondents to file reply. Accordingly, without commenting on the merits of the case the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no. 2 to take a decision on the representation dated 30.07.2015 (Annexure P-6) within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order. Needless to say if the relief is to be denied, a reasoned order be passed and conveyed to the petitioner.
