The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of a direction for withdrawal of inquires/investigation in respect of his application Annexure P-4 from the Local Police and for entrustment of the same to some independent agency.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner's daughter was married to Rajwinder Singh i.e. respondent No.6 and when she was carrying a pregnancy of about 30 weeks, respondent No.6 to 8 in order to get the said pregnancy aborted did not get the requisite medical treatment made available to her and rather prevented her from going to the hospital even when she was having severe pain and which GAURAV SOROT 2019.09.05 17:36 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

(2) CRM-M-31867-2019 consequently led to miscarriage. Learned counsel has further submitted that although the matter had been brought to the notice of the police but no action is being taken as respondent No.11 who is an Ex-MLA of the area is helping respondents No.6 to 8.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and without expressing anything on the merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Mansa to look into the matter and to dispose of representation (Annexure P-4) expeditiously and the same be got investigated independently and fairly. In case, the allegations made therein are found to be well-founded then necessary steps warranted under law be taken thereupon at the earliest. 4.

A copy of this order along with copy of representation (Annexure P-4) be sent to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Mansa so as to enable him to do the needful expeditiously.
