7. Further prayer has been made to direct respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners and the family members of petitioner No.2.

Learned State counsel, in compliance of the order dated 17.07.2024, has filed status report by way of affidavit of Balkar Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police (D), Fazilka today in the Court which is taken on record. He submits that statements of petitioner No.1 as well as respondent No.4 and 7 have been recorded, which are available on record and annexed with status report as Annexures R-1/T to R-3/T and on the basis of their statement, it has been concluded that there is no threat to the life and liberty of the petitioners. In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioners wishes to withdraw the present petition.
