The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for issuance of directions to conclude the trial expeditiously of the case FIR No.90 dated 22.06.2015 registered under Sections 223, 224, 225, 120-B, 148 and 149 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, (charges under Sections 148, 307, 353, 332, 225, 212, 216, 473 and 149 IPC were framed on 19.04.2021 by the Additional Sessions Judge, Gurdaspur) and Sections 25 and 54 of the Arms Act, 1959, at Police Station Civil Lines Batala, District Batala.

On the last date of hearing, the following order was passed:- "Notice of motion for 27.07.2023.
On the asking of the Court, Mr. Sandeep, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and seeks time to get VIRENDRA SINGH ADHIKARI 2023.07.28 18:32 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab and Haryana High Court at Chandigarh

In compliance of the aforesaid order passed on 21.07.2023, learned counsel for the respondent-State has filed a short reply by way of an affidavit of Lalit Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division City Batala, Police District Batala, on behalf of the respondent-State. The same is taken on record.

Learned counsel for the respondent-State, on instructions from ASI Davinder Singh, has submitted that only four witnesses are remaining to be examined and those four witnesses have also been summoned by the Court below for 11.08.2023. Accordingly, the evidence of the prosecution is being completed with due promptitude.

In view of the above, this Court does not find it appropriate to continue with the present petition.

Dismissed.
