Mr. J.S. Grewal, Advocate for the petitioners. HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J Petitioner Nos.1 & 2 belong to the same village. They solemnized marriage on 07.11.1999. Petitioner Nos.3 to 5 are stated to be their minor children.

Grievance of the petitioners is that their family members and the brotherhood in the Village were opposed to the marriage because of which they started residing in Chandigarh. However, in the year 2020, petitioners decided to shift to their village because of Covid pandemic. Since the date of arrival by the petitioners in their village, the private respondents are issuing threats to their life as well as life of their children. In this regard, the petitioners have submitted a representation dated 01.10.2020 (P.1) addressed to respondent No.2 but no action thereon has been taken as yet.

Without in any way commenting upon the veracity of the allegations contained in the representation, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 to look into the said representation (P.1) and take appropriate action as may be warranted in law.
