The matter is taken up for hearing through video conference due to COVID-19 situation.

This is a petition for seeking direction to Superintendent of Police, Kurukshetra for protecting life and liberty of petitioners at the hands of the husband of petitioner No. 1.

The brief facts are that petitioner No. 1 is married to respondent No. 4. They were blessed with a son. However, there were matrimonial disputes and there are allegations of beatings being given. Both the petitioners left the house of respondent No. 4 and started living separately in a rented accommodation. On gaining knowledge about the address of the petitioners, respondent No. 4 forcibly tried to take the petitioners back. A representation was made to respondent No. 2 on 13.7.2020, the grievance is that no action is taken till date. Learned counsel for the State appearing on advance notice for respondents No. 1 to 3 states that decision on the representation dated

CRWP No. 9112 of 2020 [2] 13.7.2020 would be taken expeditiously.

Let respondent No. 2 look into the representation dated 13.7.2020 and take a decision not later than 16.11.2020 and in case threat perception is found, necessary steps would be taken accordingly. The petition is disposed of.
