In the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, at Chandigarh Civil Writ Petition No. 26404 of 2014 Date of Decision: 11.2.2015 Satish Chander ... Petitioner(s)

Versus

State of Punjab and Others ... Respondent(s) CORAM: Hon'ble Mr. Justice Rajan Gupta.

Present: Mr. C.M.Munjal, Advocate for the petitioner(s).

Mr. V. Ram Swaroop, Additional Advocate General, Punjab for respondents No.1 & 2.

Mr. Harjeet Singh Gill, Advocate for Mr. Sandeep Khunger, Advocate for respondent No.3.

Rajan Gupta, J.

Petitioner has prayed for a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct respondents to decide objections dated 24.9.2014 raised against the draft scheme of delimitation of wards.

Learned State counsel, at the outset, submits that objections of the petitioner were considered and final notification was issued. Besides notification for holding the elections to the municipal council has been issued by the State Election Commission on 10.2.2015. Under the circumstances, this court would refrain from interfering in the writ jurisdiction. If aggrieved, petitioner would be at liberty to avail remedy available under the law, at appropriate stage. Petition is disposed of in above terms.
