The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of BNSS, 2023 seeking issuance of writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus to the respondents for release of detenue namely Ms. Kajal who is stated to be in illegal custody of respondent Nos.4 and 5. 2.

Affidavit of Kajal, daughter of Vijay, resident of House No.542, Village Akbarpur Barota, District Sonipat, Haryana has been filed in Court today which is taken on record.

I have gone through the affidavit. As per the affidavit so filed, it is stated by the alleged detenue that she is residing peacefully and voluntarily and is not under any illegal custody or confinement. 4.

Since the alleged detenue is an adult and there is no apparent indication that she has been illegally confined, no further order is required to be passed by this Court.

In view of the above facts and circumstances, the present petition is dismissed.
