The petitioner, who is presently working as Accountant with the respondent - Haryana State Warehousing Corporation, Panchkula, was awarded a punishment of recovery of Rs.63,917/- vide order dated 20.5.2014 (Annexure P-3) passed by the Managing Director of the respondent - Corporation.

It is contended that against the punishment order, the petitioner has submitted a statutory appeal to respondent No.2 - Chairman of the respondent - Corporation on 1.7.2014 (Annexure P6), but no decision has been taken thereon till date. Learned counsel for the petitioner states, that at this stage, the petitioner will be satisfied, if directions are issued to respondent No.2 to decide the appeal.

In view of above, without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the statutory appeal (Annexure P-6) filed by the petitioner expeditiously, preferably, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
