This Criminal Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India with a prayer to issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner as there is a serious threat to the life of the petitioner and earlier also, some mischievous persons attacked upon the petitioner and thereafter, one police official was provided by the SSP after examining the threat perception to the petitioner further with a prayer for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.2 to direct respondent no.3 to provide adequate security to the petitioner to protect his life and liberty as per their reports and due to recent incident occurred in which some persons attacked upon the petitioner with fire arm weapons. Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that the petitioners have preferred a representation dated 18.03.2026 Annexure P-5 to respondent No.3- Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur, Police District Ferozepur Punjab but no action has been taken so far. Learned counsel submits that he would be satisfied if directions are issued to respondent No.3- Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur, Police District Ferozepur Punjab to look into his representation and take appropriate steps at the earliest.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties. 6.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case and the prayer made by the petitioners, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3- Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur, Police District Ferozepur Punjab to consider and decide the representation dated 18.03.2026 Annexure P-5 of the petitioners in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and pass an appropriate order.
