* * * * S.J. VAZIFDAR, C.J. (ORAL) The petitioner seeks the release of four guarantees issued by the Punjab National Bank at the request of the petitioner in favour of the respondents.

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner states that the guarantees had never been invoked and that they had expired. He further states that despite the same, the respondents have not returned the said guarantees. This according to the petitioner causes it prejudice as the bank is refusing to release the margin money deposited by the petitioner with the bank for the issuance of the guarantees.

The petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to inform the petitioner in writing as to what they have done regarding the four bank guarantees and what they intend doing with the same. The order shall be complied with by 28.09.2017. 4.

The matter be placed on board on 03.10.2017 only to ensure compliance.
