**** Rakesh Kumar Jain, J. (Oral) This petition is filed for seeking a mandamus to the respondents for seeking correction in his name and date of birth in the birth certificate.
The petitioner has submitted that he was born on 02.06.1989 but per mistake, his date of birth in the birth certificate has been mentioned as 12.06.1989 i.e. the date of registration of his birth. It is also submitted that initially, he was given the name "Harish" but later on he has been named as "Amit Sharma", which is so recorded along with the correct date of birth as 02.06.1989 in his matriculation certificate. It is submitted that the aforesaid errors came to his notice when he wanted to apply for the passport on 09.11.2015.
The petitioner has referred to Section 15 of Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969, as per which the Registrar of Births and

After having heard the petitioner and keeping in view the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the present petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to look into grievance of the petitioner by taking into consideration the present petition as a representation and decide the same expeditiously, preferably within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order along with this petition, which is converted into representation.
