Shivjeet Singh v. State Of Punjab And Others
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT
CHANDIGARH CWP No. 26548 of 2014 Date of decision : 04.10.2017 Shivjeet Singh ....Petitioner V/s The State of Punjab & ors.
....Respondents BEFORE : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJAN GUPTA
Present:
Mr. K.L. Kohli, Advocate for the petitioner.
Mr. Harsimran Singh Sethi, Addl. A.G. Punjab. Ms. Atanjeet kaur, Advocate for Mr. Vaibhav Jain, Advocate for respondent no. 4. RAJAN GUPTA J.
Only grievance of the petitioner is that his accreditation has not been renewed despite the fact that he fulfills all the requisite conditions. Stand of the State is that a communication was received from respondent no. 4 that petitioner was no longer working with the newspaper Charhdi Kala. It was, thus, decided not to renew his accreditation. It appears that petitioner submitted a representation/legal notice, Annexure P-15, copy whereof was forwarded to the Principal Secretary to Govt. of Punjab Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Punjab. Under the circumstances, this court feels that ends of justice would be met if case of the petitioner is examined and disposed of by respondent no. 1 in light of averments made in the representation/legal notice, preferably within three months. Ordered accordingly.
